In Haverhill today. Went to interestingly named 9 Jars. Can’t tell you about the food the service was so appalling we didn’t get that far. But what a dingy boozer. It could do with a good wash and brush up.My colleague complained that his arms were sticking to the table, yuk! Didn’t smell too fresh either.
Anyway the good news is instead we went to the Pie and Mash shop. It’s 26 Queen Street, Haverhill CB9 9EF.
It was terrific. The pies were a triumph with tasty filling and first class pastry. The mash was spot on and the liquor good and savourie.
Full marks for cooking. The excellent service and banter really cheered us up.
